By default, Pipeline Management provides a number of Opportunity Types that can be selected when an end user is Creating an Opportunity. However, System Administrators can revise the list for your organization. Formal Pitches, Informal Pitches, RFP's, and RFI's are examples of Opportunity Types.
Add Opportunity Type
- Click on the Settings tab.

Under Pipeline Management, select Opportunity Type.
You can edit the default Labels by clicking on the and modifying it.
- Click Add Item.

Enter the text for the new item.
Type names must be unique.

Do one of the following as needed:
- To disable (hide) the item, unmark the check box next to it.
- To enable (unhide) an Outcome Reason, unmark the check box.
At least one Opportunity type must be active.
- Save your changes.
Edit an Opportunity Type
- Click on the Settings tab.
- Under Pipeline Management, select Opportunity Type.

Select the Opportunity Type you want to edit and edit it.
Type names must be unique.

To activate the item, mark the check box next to it.
At least one Opportunity type must be active.
- Do one of the following as needed:
- To disable (hide) the item, unmark the check box next to it.
- To enable (unhide) an Outcome Reason, mark the check box.
- To delete the item, click the Delete button

- Save your changes.
