Origination Source is an optional field end user can use when creating an Opportunity. It defines where/how the Opportunity started (i.e., Employee Referral, Internet, Trade Show, etc.). Pipeline Management contains a number of values for Origination Source by default. System Administrators can add Origination Sources and revise the list in the Settings.
Add an Origination Source
- Click on the Settings tab.
- Under Pipeline Management, select Origination Source.
- Click Add Item.

Enter the name for the new Origination Source.
Origination Source names must be unique.
- Do one of the following as needed:
- To disable (hide) the item, unmark the check box next to it.
- To enable (unhide) an Outcome Reason, mark the check box.
- Save your changes.
Edit an Origination Source
- Click on the Settings tab.
- Under Pipeline Management, select Origination Source.

Edit the information as needed
Origination Source names must be unique.
- Do one of the following as needed:
- To disable (hide) the item, unmark the check box next to it.
- To enable (unhide) an Outcome Reason, mark the check box.
- To delete the item, click the Delete button

- Save your changes.
