Adding and Editing Origination Source

Origination Source is an optional field end user can use when creating an Opportunity. It defines where/how the Opportunity started (i.e., Employee Referral, Internet, Trade Show, etc.). Pipeline Management contains a number of values for Origination Source by default. System Administrators can add Origination Sources and revise the list in the Settings.

Add an Origination Source

1. Click on the Settings tab.
2. Under Pipeline Management, select Origination Source.
3. Click Add Item.

4. Enter the name for the new Origination Source.

   Origination Source names must be unique.

5. Do one of the following as needed:
   1. To disable (hide) the item, unmark the check box next to it.
   2. To enable (unhide) an Outcome Reason, mark the check box.
6. Save your changes.

Edit an Origination Source

1. Click on the Settings tab.
2. Under Pipeline Management, select Origination Source.

3. Edit the information as needed

   Origination Source names must be unique.

4. Do one of the following as needed:
   1. To disable (hide) the item, unmark the check box next to it.
   2. To enable (unhide) an Outcome Reason, mark the check box.
   3. To delete the item, click the Delete button .
5. Save your changes.
